Our story
A final letter from Zane & Alaine
Zevaine, Charleston, South Carolina
After 39 years, the time has come for us to retire and close the doors of Zevaine for the final time.
Not because our love for this boutique has faded, but because every family business eventually reaches a moment to begin a new chapter. We would like to turn that page together, while we still can.
For 39 years we have had the privilege of dressing you for your special moments: the dress for a wedding, the coat for a first winter up north, the bag that went everywhere, the bracelet that never came off. It has been an honour to share our taste, our care and our values with you.
So this is our farewell, and our final gift to the wonderful community that supported Zevaine throughout the years. Everything in the boutique is now up to 60% off, and when you combine pieces you get up to 25% extra. No code needed, applied automatically at checkout. Shipping is on us. While stock lasts.
Thank you for allowing us to be part of your stories. We are forever grateful for every order, every kind word and every memory shared.
With love and gratitude,
Zane & Alaine
Chapter one, where it all began
It started with a single bracelet. Zane made it for Alaine in a back room in Charleston, with tools borrowed from his father. She wore it every day, people asked where it came from, and Zevaine, Za-ne and Al-aine, was born from those two names.
The bracelet became a small shop, and the shop slowly grew into the boutique so many of you know: dresses, shoes, bags and jewelry, chosen the slow way, piece by piece, with an eye for fabric, fit and finish. Alaine picked, Zane lent a hand, and every piece still leaves our boutique the way it did then: checked by hand, one at a time.
The last pieces
These are the very last pieces from our boutique and they will not be restocked. Once the stock is gone, our doors close for good. We would rather see them worn than packed away in boxes, so please choose the ones you love, and the ones you want to give.
